Data Governance represents a fundamental capstone for enabling appropriate and trusted management, protection, and leverage of one of ST’s most advantageous asset: Data

We are seeking a senior profile to deploy and oversee Company Data Governance transformation program at ST.

She/he will be part of the Data Governance Office, that is accountable for ensuring compliance with the strategy, policies, criteria and processes, as well as maintains alignment with all business domains.

She/he will be responsible for:

1. Data Governance strategy implementation within assigned business domains:

- Collaborates with Data Governance collegial bodies to define the strategy, roll-out and adoption plan in a comprehensive way aligned with the organization's goals.

- Defines high-level objectives, KPIs and roadmaps for data governance initiatives.

- Adapts strategies to accommodate changing business and regulatory requirements.

 

2. Stakeholders orchestration:

- Manages relationships within assigned business domains with data owners, data stewards and users’ community.

- Collaborates with operational teams to ensure that data governance policies are effectively implemented.

- Communicates the strategic importance of data governance to renew and extend support and participation across the organization.

 

3. Data Policies and Processes Establishment

- Ensure the implementation of Data Governance policy and standards, processes, general guidelines and metrics and their tracking

- Communicates and educates the organization on data governance framework and its application.

- Collaborate in organizing communication and socialization plans to communicate, educate and evangelize the data governance and the importance of a correct use and management of data assets.

 

4. Data Governance oversight and monitoring

- Provides high-level oversight of data governance activities without direct operational involvement.

- Establishes monitoring processes to detect potential issues or violations.

- Collaborates with operational teams to address and resolve issues as they arise.

 

5. Data Governance compliance

- Ensures that the assigned domains comply with relevant laws and regulations.

- Oversees the conduction of data discovery assessment, data categorization and classification.

- Oversees the execution of data impact assessments and audits.

- Works with operational teams to implement data safeguards (security, privacy).

- Ensure documentation of the data governance framework is always up to date and available for reference.
